It is the mission of Daviess County Citizens for Decency to make sure our friends and neighbors are aware of any unwholesome or harmful measures and programs implemented in our community by once trusted entities.

The RiverPark Center secretly produced drag shows at the unmarked, unadvertised, “GhostLight Lounge for months before we dragged them into the light. The GhostLight Lounge is no more. The RiverPark Executive Director is now plying his trade in a closet community outside Indianapolis.

Daviess County Public Library has been stocking the shelves of the Teen and Children’s sections of the library with pornographic, woke, racist, and gender ideology literature for years. Our audit exposed them. There are no legislative or statutory protections. The Library Board is determined to continue to expose children to this harmful material. We will continue to battle them until our children can safely return to OUR library.

We promised Owensboro Public Schools and Daviess County Public Schools that we would keep our audit of their libraries confidential. We worked with their superintendents to remove 79 volumes from their catalogs while maintaining their confidence. If not for the Messenger-Inquirer, that confidence would remain kept.
